Tullynally Castle Gardens and Tearooms are open 11am - 5pm Thursday to Sunday from April to September. Also Bank Holiday Mondays and daily in Heritage Week.
The Castle itself is a private home and is not open to the public There are over 12 acres of gardens in all divided between walled gardens, extensive woodland gardens and 2 ornamental lakes. Much of the present layout dates from the early 1800's but the current owners Thomas and Valerie Pakenham have gardened here for over 50 years and have added many new features. The Castle Tearooms provide a range of delicious home baked treats and light lunches and has some outdoor seating in the loggia in the Castle courtyard.
here are lots of things to see and do at Tullynally. The parkland with its magnificent trees is open to walkers and dogs on leads throughout the year. Our beautiful woodland and walled gardens, covering over 12 acres, are open from April to September and there are concerts in the castle itself and many other events in the gardens and castle all through the year.
If you would like a Season ticket for the gardens, please follow the link at the end of this article. For €50 this will allow you and a guest – or €65. for a family (2+2) – as many visits as you like during our normal opening hours (11am – 5pm, Thursday to Sunday from April to September. Also bank holidays & daily in Heritage Week) and a chance to enjoy the gardens through the changing seasons. You will also enjoy a 50% discount on garden guided walks. Dogs can be admitted on leads, and children under six are admitted free with the Season ticket holder. Other adults and children will be charged at the normal rate. Please note that the Season ticket is not transferable and that holders must show it in the tearoom before entering the gardens.
